MY STORY: I was fascinated to discover just how poor nutrition was for the majority of the population and just how little most doctors and medical personnel knew about it. The food in the general market places have been so modified and altered they no longer supply the nutrition and vitamins essential to our health and well being. Corporate farming has taken over and they are only concerned with profit. Cancer has grown at a very rapid pace since the 50’s as our food supply and choices got worse. I spent hours and years pouring over various options and learned that the food you’re eating is of upmost importance to your health, so I began to shop for organic foods. Many years ago organic foods were hardly known and not readily available like today, so it wasn’t easy.

GMO has taken over 80 percent of the foods on the shelf in most big box stores and pesticides are so over used and toxic. Some think that it may be a lost cause to protect our future generations but you can certainly do something about it for yourself and family. Up until the late fifties basic markets were getting and selling good foods but when pesticides came onto the scene and later on the discovery of GMO seeds to increase profit, it started a downward spiral to where we are today.

If you don’t take things into your own hands things will never change. Proof of that is the fact that in the beginning organic foods were very expensive but today with the public’s demand for them growing daily even big box stores are being forced to increase their offerings to the point that Costco just announced that they are offering organic farmers financial help to expand their farms in order to keep up with the supply and demand. I read an article the other day that stated that “The largest seller of organic food in the USA is Wal-Mart”. As much as I dislike Wal-Mart and their policies and would never support them, the proof is clear to me.

Fast forward to now and the options are growing daily and wading through what works and does not work is a full time job. So much that I decided to start DrinkSupplements.com. I have taken online college courses in nutritionist and set up this website for you to save you time, money and make it easier to offer information to you, friends and my family.

My husband and I have always had weight issues and at one point in our lives’ my husband found himself to be 165 pounds heavier and I was 65 pounds heavier than we are today. This weight loss took us several years to achieve by changing our eating habits and lifestyle. Not only did we do it the correct way, we have been able to maintain the weight loss.
